Those that know me, know that I am a proud member of the Milton Keynes Labour Party, and resident of Milton Keynes.
I have set up this blog so that I can articulate on those two passions.
I am pro grid roads, low density and expansion, however I want the right expansion, that will benefit existing communities with investment in regeneration for the older areas lead by residents, and for new citizens moving in to Milton Keynes to ensure they have the facilities such as schools, shops, surgeries and of course the right mixture of tenures that so that people of all backgrounds and incomes can afford to live and set home in Milton Keynes and importantly so that future generations stay and contribute to keep this city lively and vibrant it is also imperative that we become a city of culture that matches for example Barcelona and that we continue to attract businesses large and small and encourage an entrepreneurial sprite in all our residents.
I will always vote and Support and campaign for the Labour Party nationally and locally, and wish to see a successful Labour Administration running Milton Keynes Council who will stand up and be the voice for all our citizens, that is business friendly attracting investment and jobs into Milton Keynes, that runs services efficiently and effectively, and reduces inequality and enhances the life chances for all residents wherever they live, ensures that good quality houses of all tenures are built in sufficient numbers so that no one has to live in bed and breakfast accommodation or in overcrowded conditions, and that our parks and open spaces are maintained to a high standard that everyone can be proud of, and that our Children's and Adult Social Services protect the most vulnerable in our City along with a responsive health service and a well run and cherished General Hospital that residents have confidence in and meets their needs.
It is vital that the Milton Keynes Labour Party listens and responds to residents hopes, dreams, fears, views and ideas, and campaigns all year round on the doorstep, communicates regularly with surveys on and off line, holds street stalls in the heart of the community, that Labour Councillors are active and dynamic and Representative of the City, encourages Women the young, disabled and members of the BAME community to stand as candidates in Parish and Town Council and Milton Keynes Council elections, and most importantly becomes a mass membership party, with excellent campaigning units to also help get two Labour MP's for Milton Keynes elected to ensure a Labour Government with representation in Parliament.
I hope that you will enjoy my blogs that they produce a good debate and are thought provoking.
I would welcome any constructive comments and criticisms to help improve them.
